Positions of CEO and Labour Commissioner to be merged
Noida, Sep 25 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today decided to merge the positions of the Noida Authority and Greater Noida Authority CEO with the Labour Commissioner to look after labour problems in the City, three days after the alleged killing of Graziano Transmissioni CEO Lalit Chowdhary by sacked employees.
''The positions of Noida Authority and Greater Noida Authority CEO and Labour Commissioner will now be merged to look into the labour problems of the City's indsutry,'' UP Chief Secretary A K Gupta told reporters.
The decision was taken after a meeting with the City's industrialists and police officials. The meeting was also attended by DGP (UP) Vikram Singh and other IGs of the state.
''The incident was, indeed, shameful. Looking at the situation, it has been decided that additional police force will be deployed for the industries and infrastructure will also be enhanced,'' he said.
Sacked employees of Italian auto-parts maker Graziano Transmissioni allegedly lynched CEO Lalit Chowdhary on September 22.
