One arrested with illegal arms

Nashik, Sep 25 (UNI) One person has been arrested for possessing illegal arms from Kundalgaon village of Chandwad taluka of the district.

Acting on a tip-off, police yesterday raided the house of Santosh Ahire and seized two country-made pistols and as many live cartidges.

On September 21, police arrested four people -- Bhupendra Kantaprasad, Yateen Kantaprasad, Shivprakash Pandit and Mahesh Bhai -- from Manmad town of the district and seized two country-made pistols from them.

In yesterday's incident, police has registered a case under section 3 (25) of the Arms Act and further investigations are on.
