Old man killed, seven injured as mini bus turns turtle

Phagwara, Sep 25 (UNI) An unidentified old man was killed on the spot, while seven other passengers of a mini bus sustained critical injuries, when the vehicle skidded and overturned near village Palahai this morning.

While an unidentified 75-year-old was declared ''brought dead'', the injured Ram Singh, Vijay, Raju, Sukhwinder, Jaspaul, Tulsi and one unidentified person were admitted by the doctors in local civil hospital.

In another accident, one occupant of a car, identified as Swaran Singh, was killed while two others Shagan Ram and Kulwant of Tarn Taran sustained serious injuries, when the SUV skidded off the road near village Bhularai on Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road.

While, one of the injured Shagan was reffered to Jalandhar Hospital, the other Kulwant was admitted in a local Hospital.
