HSCIL launches third-generation Honda City

{image-generation Honda City_25092008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Sep 25: Premium carmaker Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCIL) here on Thursday, Sep 25 launched the third generation Honda City, which will be available in the Indian market from November.

''The City is one of our core models, and we are pleased to announce the launch of its third generation...the bookings for the car will begin from Thursday, Sep 25... however, the delivery will be commenced in the month of November only,'' HSCIL President and CEO Masahiro Takedagawa told reporters here. The third-generation City, to be available in six colours, comes with two plus two years warranty. The first generation Honda City was introduced in 1996, in response to the growing needs for automobiles in Asian markets.

Along with Civic, Accord, CR-V and Jazz (Fit), City is also becoming one of Honda's core models, with cumulative sales passing the one million unit mark in late May 2008.
