Gulshan Kumar murder case hearing adjourned till Oct 10
Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) A local court today adjourned till October 10 the hearing on T-series owner Gulshan Kumar's murder case as witnesses failed to turn up for deposition.
The Additional Session Court Judge S R Trivedi is conducting the trial in the case against Approver Mohammed Ali Sheikh alias Mohammed Chacha, who turned hostile in earlier trial, and another accused Mohammed Qayum Abdul Sheikh.
The case was reopened after Abdul Sheikh was arrested last year.
The prosecution has submitted a list of 205 witnesses in the case, including Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Chunkey Pandey, Pooja Bhatt and others, Defence Advocate Raja Thakur said.
In 2002, Additional Sessions court Judge M L Tahiliyani had convicted one person and acquitted 18 others from all charges due to lack of evidence in the case.
Judge Tahiliyani had awarded life imprisonment to Abdul Rauf Daud Merchant for killing Gulshan Kumar at Juhu in western suburbs in Mumbai on August 12, 1997.
