Groundnutseed, oil steady; nigerseed declines

Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained steady today on scattered buying by stockists, while nigerseed declined on lack of fresh demand, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Nigerseed declined by Rs 115 per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists. However, castorseed Bombay and Disa rose by Rs 25 and Rs 35 per quinal respectively, on better buying support by bulk conusmers, traders said.

In edible oils (per ten kg), sunflower exp and cottonseed (refined) reduced by Rs five per ten kg each on lower buying support by bulk consumers.

Castor comm improved by Rs five per ten kg on improved demand by stockists. RBD palmolein remained unaltered on moderate demand.

There was no change in de-oiled cakes today, traders added.
