Five members from Information Service inducted into KAS in J

Srinagar, Sep 25 (UNI) Five officers from Information Service (IS) have been inducted into the Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS), an official spokesman said today.

He said their induction was approved by the state administrative council in its meeting presided over by Governor N N Vohra here yesterday.

Those inducted into KAS included, Madan Lal Mantoo, Shakeel Ahamd Taing, Mohammad Yaseen Khan, Shahida Mustafa and Gulzar Ahmad Dar.

Information Officer Abid Hussain, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Dr N A Lone, Namrita Dogra and Pran Singh have recently been promoted to Selection Grade while Shaheen Khan and Mohammad Akbar Khan were placed as information officers.

The Director of Information Khalid Bashir congratulating the officers on their promotion expressed hope that they would now work with a greater dedication and bring improvement in the functioning of the department.
