BHEL wins Rs 330 cr contract from SAIL
New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a Rs 330 crore contract from Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL)for three turbo-blower packages for its Rourkela steel plant.
The equipment will be supplied by BHEL's manufacturing plants at Hyderabad and Bangalore in a tight schedule of 29 months, a BHEL spokesman told UNI today.
This is the highest-value single order for compressors received by BHEL till date.
BHEL's scope of work in the contract include supply of three axial turbo-blowers with drive steam turbines along with associated auxiliaries and controls, besides erection and civil works.
