3600 contractual appointees get extension in J

Srinagar, Sep 25 (UNI) As many as 3600 candidates working on contractual basis in Jammu and Kashmir will get an extension for a period of six months, an official spokesman said today.

He said the State Administrative Council (SAC) which met here with the Governor N N Vohra, approved the extension in the contractual appointments made under Jammu and Kashmir Contractual Appointment Rules, 2003 for a period of six months starting from October I.

He said the SAC also sanctioned compensatory allowance and border allowance as admissible under Article 41 of the J&K Civil Service Rules in favour the contractual appointees performing their duties in the bad pockets.
