Vodafone announces festive offer in Bengal
Kolkata, Sep 24 (UNI) Vodafone Essar East Ltd today announced a nightlong cultural programme christened ''Aagomoni'' to be held on September 27 in the city as a part of its Durga Puja celebration.
Informing this here today, the company's Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Sridhar Rao said the function would be staged at Nazrul Manch on the eve of Mahalaya from 2000 hours onwards.
He added that artists like Ajoy Chakraborty, Taufiq Qureshi, Purbayan Chatterjee, Soumitra Chatterjee, Srikanto Acharya, Rupankar, Lopamudra, Srikumar Chaterjee, Indrani Sen, Shrabani Sen, Jagannath and Urmimala Basu would perform during the show. Satinath Mukhopadhyay and Madhumanti Maitra would also mark their presence as anchors.
Furthermore, Mr Rao said the company's total subscriber base in the state currently stood at 57 lakhs, out of which Kolkata contributed 22 lakhs. At present, the firm had tower sites of 5,600 in West Bengal, including 1,700 towers in the city. According to him, Vodafone Essar East Ltd's market share stood at 25 per cent and 30 per cent in Kolkata and West Bengal, respectively.
