Three Central Railway officers remanded to police custody
Mumbai, Sep 24 (UNI) A special CBI court today remanded three central railway officers to police custody for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a Booking clerk.
The Additional Session Court judge Ashwinikumar Deore remanded them to police custody till September 29.
Accused Vijay Pande, deputy superintendent of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Madan Mohan and another officer were conducting a departmental inquiry against a booking clerk.
The acused had demanded Rs 15,000 from the clerk to give him a clean chit so that he would be able to get all the benefits of the Sixth pay commission.
Finally, the deal was struck at Rs 10,000 and they were arrested while accepting the money yesterday.
