Security tightened in High Court

Kochi, Sep 24 (UNI) Security in Kerala High Court has been stepped up in the light of the general heightened alert in the country, official sources said today.

As per a decision taken at a meeting of Chief Justice H L Dattu, DGP Ramon Srivastava and Home Secretary K J Mathew yesterday, the number of police personnel deployed in the court complex has been doubled from 16 to 40.

It was also decided to install metal detectors at the four main entrances to the building, the sources added.
