R R Das appointed Delhi NCP president

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) President of the Nationalist Congress Party Sharad Pawar today appointed Mr R R Das as president of the Delhi State NCP to replace Mr Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, who recently resigned from the party and the post.

''The National president, NCP, Sharad Pawar, in consultation with NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar, has appointed Mr R R Das as working president of the Delhi state NCP with immediate effect,'' an NCP release said.

Belonging to a freedom fighters' family, Mr Das is serving as National vice-president of the NCP Seva Dal. He has also served the party as one of the vice-presidents of the Delhi state NCP.
