Probe into Noida CEO murder case: Mayawati

Greate Noida, Sep 24: The UP government on Tuesday, Sep 23 night ordered an inquiry by a top police officer in to L K Chaudhary murder case. The Mayawati government also suspended the SHO of the police station in whose jurisdiction the incident happened and shifted junior police officials. The inquiry into the killing would be conducted by the DIG of Police, Meerut Range, officials said.

Chaudhury, the CEO and Managing Director of Cerlikon-Graziano Transmissions India Pvt Ltd, was killed on Monday, Sep 22 when agitating workers turned violent after a meeting called to resolve the dispute between them and the management failed. Chief Minister Mayawati said the incident was unfortunate and said her government was fully committed to ensure security for the industrial units and entrepreneours. Nobody would be allowed to take law into their hands, she added.

Mayawati said stern action would be taken against those found guilty. She expressed her heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family.
