Precious metals dwindle on bullish advice
Mumbai, Sep 24: Precious metals declined slightly on Wednesday, Sep 24 with silver easing by Rs 40 per kg to Rs 20,800 and standard gold by Rs 65 per ten gm to Rs 12,970, from their previous close on lack of fresh demand by ornament makers, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.
In international market too, a negative sentiment was witnessed, as gold was down to USD 885.00/885.50 per ounce from USD 888.00/888.50, while silver was down to USD 13.00/13.25 an ounce from USD 13.30/13.35, a market report from Singapore said. Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 20,800 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 12,970 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 13,035.
