Mysore Dasara to get more traditional touch: CM

Mysore, Sep 24 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said Dasara would be celebrated as 'Naada Habba' (State Festival) with traditional touch this year.

Addressing the media after reviewing the works taken up in the city, he said the government had already released Rs ten crore for the celebrations.

Instructions had been issued to ensure all works were completed by September 28, two days before the commencement of the festivities.

In this year's festivitites, 'Ritha Dasara' had been included in which information related to farmers would be discussed besides an exhibition of seeds, fertilisers and special cow show would also be held.

The other events included rural, women and children and yoga dasara. The special attraction would be an air show by the IAF.

He said the government had already taken an initiative to invite royal family members across the country to participate in the festivities and few of them would be honoured on the occasion.

High level security arrangments had made around the city during the festivities following the recent bomb blasts across the country he added.

The Chief Minister later inspected airport upgradation work at Mandakali Airport. He also inspected the various dasara works which has been taken up in the city.
