Bangalore, Sep 24 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Southwest monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Kuknoor, Yelburga, Hospet 3 each; Koppal, Munirabad, Gangavathy, Tavaregere, Mudhol 2 each; Kota, Karkala, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Gerusoppa, Nargund, Kushtagi, Hungund, Muddebihal, Nalwatwad, Humchadakatte, Kottigehara, Kudathini, Kampli, Hadagalli, Harapanahalli 1 each.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.
