Groundnutseed, RBD Palmolein costlier

Mumbai, Sep 24 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil along with RBD palmolein advanced today following speculative demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Prices of groundnut rose by Rs 50 per quintal on renewed demand by stockists. Castorseed Bombay and Disa also edged up by Rs 10 per quintal on improved demand by bulk conusmers.

However, javas 60/70, javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 remained unchanged on moderate demand by bulk consumers, traders said.

In edible oils (per ten kg), groundnut oil and refined palm oil hiked by Rs four and Re one per ten kg respectively, on good demand by local dealers.

Cottonseed refined and castor comm also strengthened by Rs three and Rs two per ten kg respectively on fresh demand by stockists.

In de-oiled cakes, undec cottonseed fell by Rs 200 per metric tonne amid sluggish demand by stockists, traders added.
