ACB unearths assets worth over Rs 50 lakh during raids
Hyderabad, Sep 24 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths today unearthed assets worth over Rs 50 lakh during searches conducted simultaneously at the residence and office of Prohibition and Excise Inspector, Malkajgiri, and his relatives' houses.
ACB conducted the raids at accused Teegala Ravinder Rao's residence at Padma Colony in the city, Excise station at Malkajgiri and his relatives' houses at Suryapet of Nalgonda district, a press release here said.
The assets include ten plots at Saroornagar, Hayathnagar, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Nakrekal, Thipparthy and Choutuppal, 13 acres of agricultural land, and Thipparthy mandal that includes six acres of sweet lime garden, one house at Nalgonda, one flat at D D Colony, a Hero Honda and a TVS Scooty.
Household articles worth Rs 1,80,000, LIC Premia worth Rs five lakh, fixed deposits of Rs two lakh, gold worth Rs 50,000 and bank balance of Rs 50,000 were also recovered. The market value of these properties will be about Rs five crore.
The accused will be arrested and produced before Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Hyderabad.
