JK to execute 45 receiving stations
Srinagar, Sep 24: Under Accelerated Power Development Programme (APDRP), as many as 45 new receiving stations were constructed, 80 receiving stations augmented, 4806 new distribution, sub-stations created and 2403 sub-stations augmented in the state by the end of June, 2008, an official spokesman said on Wednesday, Sep 24.
In addition, seven power projects are presently under execution which include 330 MW Kishan Ganga Power Project, 1020 MW Burser Project, 1000 MW Pakaldul Power Project, 240 MW Uri-II Project, 120 MW Sewa-II Project, 45 MW Nimo Bazgo Project and 44 MW Chutak Power Project.
The projects are constructed by the National Hydro Project Corporation (NHPC), the spokesman said.
He said under the programme the Centre has formulated a massive plan of Rs 1100.13 crore to strengthen and improve the power distribution system in the state.
The Centre has released over Rs 679 crore to the State Government under the programme so far.
Nearly 8638 kilometers of 66/33/11 KV new lines were erected under the APDRP in the state up to ending June 2008.
Over Rs 596 crore were utilised for implementation of the programme in the state by the end of July, 2008.
