Dowry death: 2 get 10 year imprisonment in MP

Satna, MP, Sep 24: A local court has sentenced two people to 10 years imprisonment and fined them Rs 2,000 each in connection with a dowry-related death.

According to the prosecution, Kolgawan-resident Nisha Singh (25) sustained burns and died on September 26, 2006 under suspicious circumstances.

Later, the victim's father registered a dowry case against her husband Pramod Singh and mother-in-law Savitri.

Additional Sessions Justice Amitabh Mishra delivered the verdict, yesterday.
