TDB makes efforts to contain shortage
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) The Travencore Devaswom Board (TDB) has taken all measures in advance to make the production and distribution of ''aravana'' for the current festival season at the famous Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala, more effective and flawless.
In a press release here the TDB said there was no cause for anxiety in this regard. Devotes would get sufficient quantity of ''aravana''.
As part of expanding the production of ''aravana'' the TDB had decided to begin a new unit. The work for installing the machineries, including boiler and the system of cooling vessels was progressing. It would be completed by the second week of October, the release added.
The TDB had also completed the maintenance of the existing machineries and it had also mobilised sufficient number of cans for packing the 'aravana.' It may be recalled that in the last festival seasons there had been a scarcity of 'aravana' and the devotees, particularly from other states, could not buy sufficient quantity.
