Singur: Security guards at Tata plant assaulted
{image-Tata plant_23092008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Singur, Sep 23: Unknown armed miscreants attacked two security guards at the Tata Motors small car unit here on Monday, Sep 22 leaving them seriously injured.
Singur police station officer incharge Priyabrata Bakshi said here on Tuesday, Sep 23 that unidentified miscreants attacked two security guards, Ajit Kumar from Bihar and S N Sarkar from Murshidabad, with iron rods and sharp weapons. The injured secuirty guards were rushed to the Srerampore Walls hospital in serious condition. The motive behind the attack was suspected to be robbery, the OC said, adding that an investigation was launched a manhunt was on to nab the miscreants. However, no arrests were made so far.
