Tata Motors Nano unit security guards attacked

Singur, Sep 23 (UNI) Unknown armed miscreants attacked two security guards at the Tata Motors small car unit here late last night, leaving them seriously injured.

Singur police station officer incharge Priyabrata Bakshi today said unidentified miscreants attacked two security guards, Ajit Kumar from Bihar and S N Sarkar from Murshidabad, with iron rods and sharp weapons.

The injured security guards were rushed to the Srerampore Walls hospital in serious condition.

The motive behind the attack was suspected to be robbery, the OC said, adding that an investigation was on and manhunt launched on to nab the miscreants. However, no arrests were made so far.
