Student sustains injuries in ragging
Jaipur, Sep 23 (UNI) A student of the Jhalawar Politechnic College sustained serious injuries allegedly during ragging by some seniors and outsiders, police sources said here today.
The sources said a group of seniors -- Ajay Hada, Mohan Meena, Ramseroop Meena and Vinod Goswani -- along with two outsiders stopped dalit student Ravinder Nevalia at the main gate of the college.
They allegedly asked Ravinder to take off his clothes but when the fresher refused, he was severly beaten up by the seniors.
The victim with serious injuries was taken to a nearby hospital.
An FIR under sections 304, 307 of IPC and the SC and ST Atrocities Act have been lodged against the six accused who later fled the scene, the sources added.
