One dead, two injured in a road accident

Kolhapur, Sep 23 (UNI) One youth was killed and two others seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling turned turtle, near Kinee-Ghunaki village on Pune-Banglore National highway today.

The three persons were on their way from Pune to Ichalkaranji when the driver lost control while he tried to avoid a dog, crossing the road.

The deceased was identified as Pramod Hindurao Shelake (24), son of former chairman of Ichalkaranji municipal corporation, Hindurao Shelake, police sources said.

The two other injured, identified as Nirmal Patel and Pharukh Mokashi were admitted in two separate hospitals here, the police sources added.
