Official dismissed for bribery

Hyderabad, Sep 23 (UNI) The State Government today dismissed from service Junior Assistant in the Office of Assistant Commissioner of Endowments in Kadapa following his conviction in a bribery case.

Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Nellore sentenced Kadapa Ramthu to one-year rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 for accepting Rs 2000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour, a press release here said.

In another case, the State Government withheld full pension and gratuity of Former Agricultural Officer and in-charge of Kambadur Mandal Parishad Development Office S Venkata Ramana for misappropriation of government funds following his conviction by Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases in Hyderabad.

Earlier, a case was registered against Ramana and others for misappropriation of government funds.
