New postal logo released
Bangalore, Sept 23 (UNI) Karnataka Postal Circle today released a new logo which sends a message that India Post is vibrant, dynamic organisation and professional approach in its service to the common man, business and corporate clients.
Circle Chief Postmaster-General M P Rajan, speaking at the launch function here, said the philosophy and the guiding principle behind the new logo was that India Post acts as a bridge across physical distance, and committed to deploying efficient means to reduce the time between sending and receiving mails.
The rectangle new logo in an envelope shape in deep red colour has image of bird wings coming out in special colour, he said.
The choice of post office is red and yellow, he said adding the red has been chosen for its tradional association with the postal service. The red embodies passion, power and commitment, while yellow communicates hope, joy and happiness, he said.
''It is the recognition of this stellar service in a changed world that has prompted the refurbishment of the India Post logo,'' he said.
