Explosives recovered from train at Howrah station
Kolkata, Sep 23 (UNI) Panic gripped people after a large number of explosives were recovered from inside a train at the busy Howrah railway station here today.
Police said the explosives were found in a box kept inside the luggage compartment of 467 Up Baghajatin first passenger, when the train entered platform number 21 from carshed.
The bomb squad and sniffer dogs later reached the spot and the area was cordoned off.
Police suspected that the explosives belonged to the Army as ''explosives'' was written on the box and informed the Army personnel reaching the site.
