Congress strength is increasing: Thakare
Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress committee President Manikrao Thakre today said the party's strength in the state has increased and the party wanted to increase it further to contest all the seats.
However, in the same breath, he said talks with NCP for seat sharing would be held and at that time the seat distribution would be decided.
Mr Thakre was addressing reporters after the one day seminar of all 540 block presidents and 540 observers here.
He said the party would enroll one crore members in the month of October and also said the party wants to observe October 2 as the World Non-Violence Day.
About the announcement of the candidature of Nilesh Rane from Ratnagiri, as the Congress candidate for Lok Sabha by his father Narayan Rane, He said he was not aware about it and the candidates are being decided by the high command.
