BSF apprehends cattle lifters

Shillong, Sep 23 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) deployed on Assam-Meghalaya frontier have apprehended two cattle smugglers along with Rs 68,650.

According to BSF sources, jawans on patrol duty apprehnded the smugglers at Muktapur in Jaintia hills district of Meghalaya yesterday when they were trying to smuggle a number of cattle to Bangladesh.

The border guards also recovered cash and a mobile phone from them, sources added.
