Bomb hoax in three colleges

Mysore, Sep 23 (UNI) Panic gripped three colleges in the city, which received calls threatening that bombs were planted in the college premises, which later turned to be a hoax.

Police said three colleges, Lakshmi Hayagreeva college, Vidya college and Marimallappa college received calls simultaneously., stating that the bombs would go off in the morning.

Bomb disposal and dog squads rushed to the colleges. After a thorough check it proved to be a hoax. All three colleges declared holiday today as a precautionary measure.

Police said so far, nearly ten such calls were registered at colleges and other places including the Mysore Palace in the recent times.
