Arun Ramanathan named new Finance Secretary

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) Mr Arun Ramanathan, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, has been appointed as the new Finance Secretary.

Mr Ramanathan, an IAS officer of the 1973 batch from the Tamil Nadu cadre, will continue to hold the post of Secretary, Department of Financial Services, an official statement said here today.

He succeeds Dr Duvvuri Subbarao, who was appointed as Governor of the Reserve Bank of India recently.
