Advani to pay visit to Somnath on Sep 25

Rajkot, Sep 23 (UNI) BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani will pay a day-long visit to Somnath, near Veraval, in Junagadh district on September 25.

The city BJP president Nitin Bhardwaj told UNI that Mr Advani, who had begun his historic rath yatra to Ayodhya in 1990 from the pilgrimage centre, would arrive here tomorrow night from Mumbai in special plane and would have a night halt here. He would pay visit to Somnath the next day, he said.

Mr Advani would leave for Somnath in special helicopter, and would perform puja at Somnath temple. Later, he would fly for Rajkot and from there, he would leave for Bhopal in special plane, Mr Bhardwaj said.

In remembrance of his historic rath yatra, Mr Advani visits Somnath every year on the same date.
