3 kg charas recovered in Ramban
Jammu, Sep 23 (UNI) Police today recovered over three kilograms of charas from a vehicle near Banihal in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
''Acting on a tip-off, a nakka was laid down by police near Safapani. They intercepted a passenger tempo, which was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu. During checking, three kilogram of charas was recovered from the vehicle, while a 50 gram packet of charas was also recovered from the possession of one passenger,'' police sources told UNI.
The arrested passenger was identified as Muzaffer Ahmed, a resident of Habakadal, Srinagar and he was been booked under the NDPS Act.
