2 minors killed, 4 injured in road accident

Krishnagar, Sep 23 (UNI) At least two school students were killed and four others seriously injured when a bus collided head-on with a private car at Thakurtala area near Nabadwip in Nadia district today.

Police said the bus was coming from Asansol to Krishnagar while the car, carrying school children, was travelling towards Nabadwip when the accident occurred, killing two minors on the spot.

The injured persons were rushed to the Nabadwip state general hospital in serious condition, police added.

Meanwhile, an irate mob of local residents torched the bus.

Later, fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

A police contingent also arrived on the spot and brought the situation under control.
