15 students ill after taking mid-day meal

Udupi, Sep 23 (UNI) As many as 15 students of BEM-aided school fell ill after allegedly taking mid-day meal here today.

Police said the children developed giddiness and started vomiting immediately after taking the meal and were admitted to a nearby hospital where they were treated as outpatients and discharged.

A lizard was found in the food, police added.

The parents, however, alleged negligence of the school authorities.
