Thandie Newton thinks 'Madonna is a gifted actress'

Washington, September 22 : English actress Thandie Newton rejects critic's disapproval of Madonna's acting skills, insisting that she finds the Queen of Pop a 'gifted actress'.

The Hollywood star, who won critical acclaim for 'Desperately Seeking Susan' in 1985, claims that the singer would be remembered as a brilliant actress.

"Actually I think Madonna is a great actress and it's only in years to come will people see that," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"But for me, she is truly gifted," she added.

The 36-year-old actress won the BAFTA 'Best Supporting Actress' in 2006 for her much appreciated role in the movie 'Crash'.
