Slain US student's body cremated

Hyderabad, Sep 22 (UNI) The body of slain MS Student Tummala Soumya Reddy was consigned to flames at the Bansilalpet Crematorium here today in the presence of large number of relatives and friends.

The body of Soumya, who was killed at St Louis in the US,arrived late last night at the International Airport here.

After completion of formalities, her body was handed over to the family here.

Soumya was a third year MS student at Southern Illinois University and was found dead in a park last week.

Her cousin Vikram Reddy's body was also found in the nearby Spanish lake in the same park a couple of days later.

Both the bodies bore bullet injuries and police suspected they were murdered.

The body of Vikram Reddy was likely to be brought here in a week after completion of all the formalities there.
