Muslim body urges Govt to probe foreign hand in terror attacks
New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) The Coordination Committee of Indian Muslims, representing all Muslim organisations, today urged the Government to probe all possible angles of foreign hand in the current terrorist attacks in the country.
Addressing the media here, Mujtaba Farooq, convenor of the Coordination Committee and Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said that the government is toeing the US line and branding Muslims as "terrorists".
Dr Zafarul-Islam Khan,President of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat, said Muslims are being portrayed as terrorists and each attack is being linked to the community.
He demanded a ban against Hindutva outfits,especially VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shri Ram Sena, Hindu Munnani, Hindu Jagran Manch, Yuva Hindu Vahini, Hindu Janajaagrutri Samiti and Durga Vahini '' which are targeting minorities in a number of states in the country.'' Dr Zafarul said in more than 50 cases, the courts have not found any evidence against the persons who were named by the police as hard core terrorists.The Courts have acquitted some and some have been let off at the time of framing of charges as no evidence was found against them.
