Four held with illegal arms
Nashik, Sep 22 (UNI) Four people were arrested by police from Manmad town of the district with two home-made pistols.
Acting on a tip-off, the city police raided a sweetmeat shop yesterday and arrested Bhupendra Pandit Kantaprasad (21), Yateen Kumar Kantaprasad (20), Shivprakasha Omprakash Pandit (all residents of Hardaspur in Agra) and Mahesh Bhai (33), the shop-owner, who resides in Hudco area of Manmad, police said today.
According to the police, the tropka who were working in the sweetmeat shop, had brought the pistols here for safe. Though, the shop owner, was aware of their criminal he did not inform the police and therefore he too was arrested.
All the four were produced before a local court yesterday, which remanded them to police custody till September 26.
