Five notorious robbers arrested
Bangalore, Sept 22(UNI) Central Branch Organised Crime Branch Police have arrested Five notorious robbers who were planning to waylaid passengers with lethal weapons.
According to a release here, the five, after an unsuccessful attempt Rs 40 lakhs from a house in Chennai last week, were planning to rob the passers when they were nabed.
One Omini van, knife, longers and four mobile phones were seized from K Srinivas, H R Poornesh, B Satish Kumar, S Vijay and J Sunilkumar. Srinivas was involved in six theft and attempt to robbery cases, while Poornesh was involved in attempt to murder, Vijay and Satish were involved in attempt to robbery cases.
In another case, police have arrested eight people who were planning to rob a Jewelery shop in the city on the instruction from notorious rowdy who is in judicial custody in Central Jail here.
They were planning to rob Kaveri Jewellers in Hulimavu Police Station limits by threatening with gun and using Choloropharm.
Three motorcycles, one Shortgun, one live bullet, one bottle filled with Choloropharm, lethal weapons and mobile phones were seized from them.
Among the arrested, Baburajan was wanted in connection with four cases including two cases filed under Arms act, one robbery and another attempt to robbery. Another arrested Ibrahim, who hailed from Chennai, was involved in three robbery cases and had served 10 year jail term in one case. Others arrested included S Albert, Manjunath, Govindraju, P Shivapalan, A K Vikram and Uttam Vission.
