Ayurveda villages in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Sept 22 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh government has commenced Ayurveda Gram Yojana in 25 villages to motivate the villagers to take up cultivation of herbal medicines.
''A total of 25 villages in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa districts have been selected on an experimental basis for this project,'' Health and Urban Administration Minister Amar Agrawal today said.
He said that Rs one lakh each would be given to all the selected villages. Chhattisgarh is rich in herbal medicines but lack of awareness refrained people from harnessing them.
''The extension of project depends on the success of this experiment,'' the minister added.
