12 ft phython caught, released into forest
Madikeri, Karnataka, Sep 22 (UNI) Agriculturist D K Ponnappa and two of his friends succeeded in catching a 12-foot long and 1.5 foot thick Python roaming on his land at Yadavanadu, near Somwarpet, on Saturday.
Mr Ponnappa, during his morning walk, got a rude shock when he stumbled upon a huge reptile on his land.
With the help of Sunil and Shekar he caught the python, police said here today.
Later, the python was handed over to Forest Department who released it in the reserve forest.
