Planning Commission team reviews Vallarpadam, LNG projects

Kochi, Sep 21 (UNI) A three-member Planning Commission Team today reviewed the progress of the construction work on the Vallarpadam International Container Transhipment Terminal (ICTT) and the Petronet LNG Projects here.

The team, headed by Mr Gajendra Haldia, Principal Adviser to the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, includes Mr S K Saha, Director and Mr Jitesh John, Research Officer.

After visiting the project sites, Mr Haldia expressed satisfaction at the progress of the work on the ICTT and said the work would be completed by scheduled time next year.

Cochin Port Trust Chairman N Ramachandran, Ernakulam District Collector M Beena and other senior officials were present.

The team would review the proposed Kochi Metro Rail Project,which was facing some dispute about the alignment, tomorrow.
