Malnutritioned child dies in Indore
Indore, Sep 21 (UNI) A malnutritioned child, who was brought here from Khandwa for treatment and admitted to a hospital, died yesterday.
Severely-malnutritioned Nitesh (8) was admitted to the hospital yesterday.
About 514 malnutritioned children from Khandwa who come under grade III and IV of malnutrition, had been admitted to Indore.
''Of them 270 children have received treatment and have been discharged, while others are being given treatment here,'' Chief Health and Medical Officer Sharad Pandit told UNI here.
He said efforts would be made by the district administration, the Women and Child development department and medical department for jointly. Anganwadi workers and nutrition experts will identify such children and provide them treatment.
