Heather Mills donates vegan food to Bronx kids

London, Sept 21 : Giving a glimpse of her philanthropic side, Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills is donating vegan food, worth one million dollars, to Bronx.

The ex-model will announce the donation just before the Hunts Point Back-to-School Fair, reports the Daily Express.

The fair will start on Sept 27 in the Bronx, one of the poorest neighbourhoods in New York.

Mills is an honorary chairwoman of the non-profit group that organises the event.

In an interview to the New York Post, Mills said that she wants to make sure children in the neighbourhood "have as many nutritional advantages as anyone else".

According to figures, kids in Hunts Point have some of the highest obesity and asthma rates in the city.

Mills and Sir Paul McCartney ended their marriage after divorce was granted earlier this year.
