Fake currency over Rs 2 lakh seized, Maulvi arrested
Ferozabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Police today said they have arrested a man, who pretended to be a Maulvi, and seized counterfeit currency worth Rs 2.5 lakh from him from the Line Paar area here.
The crime came to light after the cops raided Naushad Miya's house in Levar colony late last night.
Fake notes amounting to Rs 2.5 lakh were seized from his possession.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the policemen were interrogating about the aides of the arrested.
