AP govt to perform mass marriages for poor couples

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government will organise mass marriages for poor couples from the minorities on November 20, State Minorities Minister Ali Shabbir Mohammed said.

Reviewing arrangements with the officials yesterday, the minister said these marriages would be performed for 470 poor couples.

The government would spend Rs 15,000 for the marriage of each couple, according to an official release.
