Miscreants attack TN actor Vadivelu 's house

Chennai, Sep 21: Popular Kollywood comedy actor Vadivelu escaped unhurt when a 50-member gang attacked his house and office at Saligramam on Sunday Sep 21.

Police said the gang, which came on 20 two-wheelers and five autorickshaws, hurled stones at his residence, damaging several window panes. Talking to newspersons, Vadivelu said the gang gained entry into the house, threatened the security men after enquiring the whereabouts of the actor. Thereafter, it went on a rampage, raining stones at his residence and office. One of the persons staying in the residence received minor injuries. Some furniture in the house was also damaged.

Vadivelu, who was inside the house at the time of attack, however, escaped unhurt. He later preferred a complaint with the police. The attack on his house comes a day before a city court was to take up final hearing in a case following a scuffle between the actor's supporters and Actor-Politician and DMDK Founder Vijayakanth during which Vadivelu was roughed up and his office attacked a few months back.
